Modern Slavery is a serious crime that violates human rights. It is essential that professionals recognise that survivors of modern slavery may be at risk of re-trafficking and further harm. An oversight group will be established by the Government to ensure this Statutory Guidance is systematically reviewed and updated.
This guidance is aimed at staff in England and Wales. It does not apply to Scotland and Northern Ireland unless it specifically states that this is the casesee section on Devolved Administrations for more information.
