The European Central Bank is committed to addressing climate change. The indicators are intended to support the analysis of climate-related issues for the financial sector. The data should bring market transparency and are relevant for the inclusion of climate change considerations in the design and implementation of ECB monetary policy. Remaining limitations are mostly due to the lack of internationally accepted harmonised definitions of certain concepts.
