Commercial Director

We are supporting a global IT services and solutions provider to appoint a Commercial Director on a permanent basis with a competitive salary based in Birmingham.

The successful candidate will be a key member of the Management Team helping to shape the direction of travel and ensure the organisation is a truly commercially focused, service excellence organisation. You will be responsible for the delivery of the overall end-to-end commercial solution based on a deep understanding of the Public Sector procurement practices, market and customer needs, ensuring sound understanding of sourcing strategies, project planning and delivery, contract negotiation and award, and contract management are in place.

The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate the following essential criteria:

• Develop innovative category, commercial and sourcing strategies and solutions
• Ability to switch between big picture strategy and operational detail, innovating to create ways of overcoming problems and deliver positive outcomes and solutions exceeding customer expectations whilst balancing risk
• Deep market insight within Public Sector
• Demonstrate personal presence, energy and drive in inspiring yourself and others to excel
• Excellent communication and consultative skills to building strong relationships with internal stakeholders, customers and suppliers
• You will be required to have Security Clearance as part of this role
