Value Match are supporting a Local Government Authority to appoint a Category Manager to support the tendering activity within the Construction and Capital Projects category. This is a 6 month interim contract with a day rate of £450 - £500 on offer, this role is home working however there may be an element of office working throughout the contract. 

The successful candidate will be responsible for leading and managing end to end procurement activity within the category team. The primary focus will be on professional services appointments to support capital projects and procurements, ensuring strategic objectives of value for money and outcomes are met.

We are looking for candidates with the following skills and experience:

  • Public Sector procurement within a Local Authority
  • CIPS Qualified
  • Experience of procuring construction, capital projects and associated professional services
  • Experience of managing procurements via e-tendering solutions
