We are currently supporting a Local Government customer based in the South East of England who are looking for experienced Category Managers. These are full time permanent roles with a salary range from £55,959 - £59,222
The successful candidate will manage sub-categories across the Place category portfolio and collaborate with Directorates/Services and the Category Lead to champion best practice commercial approach to external spend in order to deliver value for money and transform the ways services are delivered.
Candidates applying must have the following experience:
- MCIPS qualified procurement professional / working towards MCIPS with significant experience managing and leading projects.
- Knowledge and experience of EU procurement processes, using Government procurement frameworks, within the Place category.
- Experience of identifying and implementing relevant commercial terms and has a good understanding of commercial risks and exposures.
- Demonstrable experience of delivering total cost of ownership savings
- Understanding of supplier management and can demonstrate development of a supplier over time.
- Demonstrate an understanding of the latest market and procurement trends within the sub-category area of expertise.
- Good knowledge of the Highways Act and JCT agreements.
