We are supporting a Private Sector Client who are looking to appoint a Local Authority Business Development Director to join their growing team. This is a permanent role with a salary of £90,000-£100,000 and is remote home working,
Reporting directly to the Chief Revenue Officer and part of the extended UK Leadership Team, your role is to lead on all business development initiatives. You will work and collaborate with a team of highly motivated and successful Sales and Business professionals, contributing to the evolution and continued success of our client.
You will be responsible for:
- Generating and closing new revenue opportunities to clients and prospects across Local Authority (Public Sector).
- Building the local authority vertical (marketing and relationship generation) manage new sales opportunities and execute sales process from presentation through to contract negotiations and close.
- Shaping value add strategic solutions
- Creating compelling proposals
- Understanding competitor's strengths and weaknesses to differentiate the value proposition
- Providing technical solution development.
The successful candidate will have:
- 5 + years of proven business development experience
- Local Authority experience and demonstrable success negotiating and closing complex deals
- Highly motivated self-starter with a strong professional network
- Experience managing complex strategic relationships
- Managed pricing negotiations.
- Knowledge of Consumer, Commercial and Marketing data (desirable)
- Experience in presenting to small and large groups of prospects and key decision-makers
